POLice Augmented Reality Intelligence System (POLARIS)

Through the application of Augmented Reality (AR) interfaces, Embedded Acoustics B.V. enhances the "situational awareness" of intervention units. The intended solution combines the use of a visual interface (AR glasses or helmet) with 3D audio. Information is projected both visually and audibly over the actual environment. Embedded Engineering develops robust interfaces, primarily for military applications to date. This has demonstrated how information can be presented very intuitively and effectively with proper interface design. Environmental "awareness" increases significantly, while cognitive load is actually reduced. They are adapting the existing system to meet the requirements of relevant Police teams.
