Action lines
CIIIC works along five action lines to grow the Dutch immersive sector. Each action line has its own goal and brings people, knowledge and innovation together. This is how we work on research, talent, facilities, entrepreneurship and collaboration. Click an action line to see which funding schemes, projects and activities belong to it.
Research
Applied and practice-based research for the development of better knowledge, methodologies and tools for the effective and responsible development of IX. From exploratory research to artistic-design research.

PRO
Multi-year practice-oriented research aimed at developing knowledge and practical approaches to improve and expand the application of immersive experiences (IX).
CIIIC Start
Small-scale exploratory research into immersive experiences: short projects that explore new research directions, often as a stepping stone towards a larger Kern project.
CIIIC Kern
Demand-driven, practice-oriented research into immersive experiences. Consortia of universities of applied sciences and businesses work together on research questions that come straight from practice.
ADRIE
Artistic and design research in immersive experiences. For artists, designers and creative professionals exploring the boundaries of IX.
Talent & Skills
Expanding and strengthening the talent pool to conceptualise, build and apply IX. Through learning communities, training vouchers and educational modules.

Learning Communities
This programme connects innovation, learning, and work, enabling professionals to further develop their knowledge and skills in immersive experiences. It involves four-year projects by consortia from research, education, and practice.
Market-oriented Training Modules
These market-oriented training modules help IX creators and professionals further develop their knowledge, skills, and competencies. The practice-oriented modules are aligned with the needs of the labour market and strengthen expertise within the IX field.
Training Vouchers
Within this programme, which is currently under development, vouchers will become available for training and upskilling in the skills required to design, create, and apply immersive experiences (IX).
Facilities
Building a strong, interconnected Dutch IX innovation ecosystem. IX Labs provide infrastructure for research, education, training and experimentation.

IX Labs bring participants together around a specific theme to explore jointly how immersive experiences can be put to use.
IX Labs Phase 1
IX Labs form a digitally connected national network of facilities for research, experimentation and the development of new immersive experiences.
Innovating
Projects around the design, production, application and impact of IX, bringing together public and private organisations. Consortia develop solutions for concrete societal challenges.
