ASA (Augmented Situational Awareness assistent)

ASA is an augmented reality assistant that supports police officers with direct and contextual information in their field of vision via AR glasses. Think of visual markers for exits, colleagues, vehicles or danger zones, plus subtle warnings for approaching persons outside the field of view. In situations with smoke or poor visibility, ASA improves orientation through image processing. At the same time, the officer can share live footage with the control room for better coordination. This feasibility study examines whether ASA is technically viable, practically deployable within the police organisation and whether it contributes to safer, faster and better informed action by officers on the street.
