Dutch Design week
The largest design event in Northern Europe, held annually in October in Eindhoven. Over the course of nine days, more than 2,600 designers present innovative concepts, visions, and designs focused on shaping the future.
Dutch Design Week (DDW) is one of the most important moments of the year for the creative industry. In recent editions, immersive technologies—including XR, spatial computing, AI-driven storytelling, and interactive installations—have evolved from niche practices into established design disciplines, with dedicated exhibitions, talks, and program tracks.
Across venues such as Klokgebouw, Ketelhuisplein, and Sectie-C, a growing community of creators showcases how immersive experiences are being developed as powerful mediums for meaning, engagement, and social reflection.
For CIIIC partners, DDW is an annual opportunity to take the pulse of the creative field: identifying emerging talent, exploring new themes, and discovering promising collaborations. For creators, it serves as a strategic platform to present their work to clients, curators, media, and international visitors. For practitioners and researchers, DDW offers a unique week of networking and exchange that would otherwise require months of meetings.
